Brasschaat is known for its green areas and parks. It’s a green oasis you can explore by bike. Numerous cycling trips are traced out in the green municipality with or signposts.

Brasschaat is, as a gate to the Noordertuin of Antwerp, also the ideal municipality to discover the surrounding municipalities and their tourist offer.

Heemkundig museum 't Schuurtje
Gemeentepark 4.

A treasure of valuable objects that conjure up an interesting image of the lives of our ancestors. Open every first Sunday of the month from 3 to 6 pm.

Museum Atelier Thomas van Heck
Bredabaan 549

The creeks, the loggers, the sand-banks, the fishermen and the polder landscapes, Thomas van Heck painted and drew everything for the future. He also made statuettes from Biesbosch clay. The museum also has the paraphernalia he used and a DVD where you can hear him talk about his work.

Open: Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
